Apparel Collection

Overview

In collaboration with VIZ media, Team Liquid created a merchandise collection with one of the most iconic anime series of all time - Death Note. This collection features cut & sew apparel pieces as well as keyboard accessories that features Death Note's characters utilizing the anime's gothic theming and references to the story's sinister elements.

Synopsis

High school student Light Yagami discovers a supernatural notebook that allows him to kill anyone by writing the victim's name while picturing their face. The story follows his attempts to become a god by creating a New World cleansed of evil by using the notebook, and the complex conflict between himself and all those who try to stop or help him.

What I Did

✦ Conceptualized designs by incorporating Team Liquid’s brand aesthetics and IP’s style guidelines
✦ Designed apparel and accessories by utilizing Illustrator to create CAD and vector illustrations
✦ Developed packaging, branded trims, and cobrand logo in order to create consistent branding for products
✦ Coordinated with technical designs by selecting fabrics, embellishments, colors, and styles
✦ Participated in sample rounds and fittings in order to make adjustments and revisions, verifying that garments met quality and aesthetic standards
